Test Correction Directions

Test Corrections (to be eligible for a retest of the content)

For some tests, you will be allowed to make corrections.  This will help you understand what you have missed and why, so that you can be eligible to retake the assessment

Science Test Corrections are due a week from the day they are announced the first time:
Make all corrections during advisory according to the following guidelines.

  •            Do not write on the test.  Do all corrections on a google doc (highlight the answer you chose in red and the correct answer in green)
  •           You must return the original test and your answer sheet
  •           You may correct as many or as few points as you like on the test (however, to be eligible to retake the assessment, all corrections must be complete)
  •           Corrections that do not follow the correct format will not receive credit.
  •           Students found copying test corrections or participating in some other manner of cheating will have their grade changed to zero.  It is cheating to provide answers to your classmates.

Directions for correcting multiple choice tests (sample below).

  •      You must neatly organize each answer to the number of the missed question and the basic topic of the question.
  •       Beneath this write out the letter and basic answer for each of the listed answer choices (a, b, c, etc.)
  •       Highlight your answer in red, and the correct answer in green. Ask for help from me if you do not understand something.
  •       Next to each letter you must write the page number of  textbook or cite your source where the correct answer is discussed.
  •       Next to the page number, state why the answer is correct or incorrect.  Your answer must be based on the notebook, textbook and your knowledge.  You must add a new piece of information for the correct answer.
